Although most guys try to act like they don’t really care about the things they wear, I know you actually care a little more than you let on. Here is a list of Spring/Summer Essentials that every guy must have.

V-Neck Tees

A V-Neck can take you a long way. Whether u like them loose or more fitted they look great with jeans and shorts and you can find them in almost any color.

Retro Kicks

Although I’m not as familiar with the names of all the old school Jordans and Nikes I’m sure when I say 12’s you have an automatic mental picture. So step your retro kick game up this summer.

Watch

You can tell a lot about a man by the watch that he wears. So fellas please don’t leave the house without your watch.

Nude Belt

I know you’re tired of wearing all black & brown belts, that’s if you wear one at all!  This season step outside the box and try a nude colored belt.

Fashion Forward: Try a white belt

Cap

The baseball cap is a staple item that every male must have this season, in at least the essential colors. (Red, Black, Navy, White)

Trend watch: Try yellow, turquoise, & purple

Wearing What Fits

Not too big!

You don’t want to wear your clothes too big! You do not want to be constantly pulling at the waste of your pants to keep them up or adjusting your shirt as it dangles off your body. Wearing clothes that are oversized can cause you to look sloppy.

Boxers or Briefs?

No one that sees you around should know the answer to this question. Your pants shouldn’t be so big that we can see your underwear or so that you are constantly pulling them up. A good solution to this problem is normally a belt.

Skinny.

The trend is hot but skinny jeans just aren’t for everyone. Not to mention if your jeans are so tight you can barely move or you have to do the jumping thing girls sometimes do to get their pants on you may want to consider doing something else.

Be true to you!

I know you see the trends change over the years but every trend is not for every body type or image being portrayed. See what styles or designs look nice on your body and reflect the image you want people to see in you and sick with that.

Valentine's Day: What to Wear

Make sure your swag is right! More so than what you wear, your swag is dependent upon how you are wearing what you have on. So, make sure that your clothes are ironed and everything is in place. You don’t want your shirt half tucked in or your shoe laces flopping around. And, make sure that your boxers are not showing. Contrary to what you may think, LADIES do not find that attractive.

Where what fits the occasion! If you are going to the movies or bowling, jeans and a t-shirt is fine. But, if you are possibly taking your mom to a nice dinner to show her you care, this would be a good time to pull out the slacks and button up shirt you usually only wear to church.

Belt. Shoes. Tie. Just like with the job interview you want to make sure all of these match and are the correct size. You don’t want to end up being the topic of discussion with your friends, because at the bowling alley your pants fall down because you didn’t wear a belt or it was too big anyway!

What to Wear On Your Job Interview

If you’ve heard it once, you’ve heard it a million times… “First impressions are lasting impressions.” In particular, job interviews are the first and hopefully not the last time that the employer sees you. There are many things to keep in mind when preparing your attire for a job interview.

Guys- Don’ts

Sag it! Guys… if you still sag your pants, at least make sure not to do it on an interview. Your pants belong on your waist.

Wear jeans. Jeans are appropriate for school and fun on the weekend, but not for a job interview. Do not wear jeans to you interview… ever. Khakis are a better option.

Visible Tattoo and/or piercings should never be displayed during a business interview. That is unprofessional and may leave the wrong impression with the person interviewing you.

Oversize it. Wear clothes that fit you. Your dress shirt should fit your neck and should be the correct arm and shoulder length.

Guys- Do’s

Leave the wrinkles at home. Let the employer know that you care about the job you are applying for. Take 10 minutes to iron your clothes the night before the interview.

Be modest . Wear colors such as black, navy blue, or beige. These colors will allow the focus to be on you and what you have to say.

The belt should not only fit and hold your pants up, but it should be the right style and color. Don’t wear a belt with a flashy buckle with a business casual attire.

Get approval! I know you may not want to ask your parents or grandparents what you should wear, but they can offer great advice. Think about it... they are probably around the same age as the personal that will be interviewing you.
