•I want to be successful but I do not know where to start because I don't even know what I want to do.
•My parents don't treat me like the adult I am how can I change that?
If you want to be treated like an adult you have to not only act like an adult you have to actually be one. This doesn't mean telling your parents "I can do what I want I'm an adult." What I am saying is take some initiative around the house. Do chores before you are asked to. You have to do them anyway, doing them without being asked to shows you are responsible. Also read over the "Being a Role Model in Your Own Home" article. There are great tips in it that can assist you in developing adult like qualities!
•I am trying to make changes in my life for the better but it seems like my friends are not always supportive... Why is that?
A friend once told me the path that God has called you to is a path that most people won't take with you. And, I could add to that especially old friends. Sometimes it is hard for the people you used to "run the streets with" to see you make decisions to do right because they want to keep doing the same old things. Some of these people are put in your life to hold you back, and some genuinely care about you but just won't understand your decision to change. Either way be prepared to travel your road to change alone and confident that when you reach your destination there will be plenty of people there to accept you and encourage you to do better!
