There is nothing more important in life then being the you God created you to be. Whether that is short or tall, skinny or big, goofy or serious, just be you.
I used to be very insecure about who I was. I didn’t like the way I looked, I didn’t feel that smart, and I would imagine being someone else constantly. Then, my dad said something that made so much sense to me. He asked, “what your eyes decided they wanted to be the feet? Then you couldn’t see.” “Or, what if the ear wanted to be the nose? Then you couldn’t hear.” So what does this mean? When God created the earth He took the time to specially create us all in His image and after His likeness. He knew just how He should create us so we could have the most impact, and be the functioning part necessary to reach the people around us. When I thought about this I though about how God spent so much time creating me into what He sees as the perfect person. I began to cry when I though about how all this time God, who created Heaven and earth, thought of me as important enough to put on earth to represent Him, and I had basically been saying He did not do a good job. Every time I rejected the way I looked, or thought of myself as dumb I was saying, “God I know you think you did a good job creating me, and took all this time planning out my life, but you really messed up on me.” How many of you are saying the same thing about yourself? I had to start seeing myself the way God sees me. As His perfect creation. A small part of a larger body, the body of Christ, created the way I was for a reason. And when I am happy and content being me I am at my best! So, everyday I wake up and pray to God that I am the me He wants me to be and sees me as. Nothing more. Nothing less.
