Letter From the Editor:

This month we are talking about the importance of being true to you! Today it is so easy to get caught up in becoming who everyone else wants us to be that we lose sight of the fact that we are all made unique for a reason. We all have something to contribute as individuals that can make the world better, or at least make the people around us better. For example what if I decided that instead of being a writer and creating this magazine for you that I wanted to be a singer, or a doctor or whatever else. How many people would not have gotten answers on different situations going on in their lives? As you read this months articles I want you to really take the time to evaluate what is being said and how it may pertain to you.

Also, we have some amazing interviews on young people just like you who decide to take their own path instead of hiding the real them behind a mask. I hope that you find this issue as enriching and life changing as the others. I appreciate the emails and messages you all have written in the contact box and I hope that you will continue to send in questions for us to answer for you. Remember myself and the magazine staff are here to help you! Love you,

Letter from the Editor February

Hey,

I like to think of February as national are you single month. February 14th can be a hard day to get through if you recently went through a break up or just start to feel lonely because of all the relationships you see forming around you. What I had to realize is that being single is not anything to be ashamed of! And actually is pretty great because you don’t have to focus on anything but personal growth. This month’s issues we have articles on how to handle relationships, answers to questions that ask what love really is, and a very interesting article on why you should wait to date! So, whether you have a “boyfriend/ girlfriend” or are flying solo this Valentine's Day remember to show those you love that you care. So tell your parents and friends you love them this month!

Letter From the Editor

Hey,

Vision In Progress (V.I.P.) Magazine is for you! I wanted to start this magazine because I remember what it was like to be in high school. I remember the crazy relationships, drama with friends, and my parents... that was a different issue all together. Then trying to keep my grades up and figure out exactly what I wanted to do with my life was a lot to deal with. I come from a great family and had been raised well, but it still wasn’t always easy to make the best decisions. I had loving parents but I couldn’t always ask them questions I needed answers to! V.I.P. is that, The place where you can ask anything and find answers for everything. Not something that tells you what to do, a source to explain what all you can do. A guide to help you progress through life, discover your vision and achieve your goals. My dream has always been to help people, specifically teens. I just wasn’t sure how I was going to do it, and then one day after feeling lost for a while I started to go to church more and pray more, and it was then that God gave me the vision to do this magazine. I always loved to write and the only job I could really remember doing and loving was when I worked on a magazine. So here I am now doing everything I love and I’m only 22 years young. This is a dream come true, but I know only bigger and better things are going to happen! I am going to continue to set goals for myself, work harder, and achieve more. My name is Chrystle Powe and this is my Vision In Progress. Let me help you build yours.

Love, Chrystle

Letter from the Assistant

Dear Reader,

When your family seems to be falling apart, your best friend betrays you, good grades seem impossible in school and when all of a sudden you have to ask God "Why me?", remember that this is only an hour, a day, a month, or even a moment in your Vision in Progress. I was inspired to begin the VIP Magazine because of something that my pastor told me during my sophomore year of high school. He said, "The quality of your life will be dependent upon the quality of your choices." Vision in Progress, the VIP Magazine, is here for that reason-- to guide you through the choices that you have to make on a daily basis. Throughout my teen years, with God by my side, I was able to have peace in knowing that I had help from someone greater than myself. Of course, there were times when I felt like I was alone, but this was never true. My junior year, God told me to write down everything I wanted within the next few years. I wrote down "great friends", "internships", "graduate and be successful", and amongst many other things, the most important..."inspire others". Given this opportunity to speak to you through writing is truly a blessing because I was in your position not too long ago. It's amazing how time speeds by. In my past two years out of high school, I have been afforded the opportunity to be a leader in my universities and communities through Student Government, internships, community service, scholarship pageants, a sorority, and just being a dedicated student and citizen. My inspiration for being an Editor of VIP Magazine is the potential of each of you to conquer current struggles and reach your maximum potential. VIP stands for 'Vision in Progress' and I hope this magazine contributes to your vision. God has so much in store, even if you don't realize it yet... so let's embrace it!

Here to Help,

Audrina
